Start with the task.
Identify the workplace requirements that apply to the job. Confirm product suitability against the manufacturer’s current instructions. Product photos and categories do not establish a protection rating.
Check fit and configuration.
Review the size range, adjustment method and compatible accessories. Choose a size or color only from the options supplied for that product.
Review the documentation.
Look for manufacturer specifications, stated limitations, care instructions and verified standards. When documentation is unavailable, ask for it before making a selection.
Keep information with the equipment.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use, inspection, care and replacement. Do not infer service life or performance from appearance alone.
